    1 tsp baking soda 4.6g
    1/2 tsp salt 3g
    1 large egg 50g
    1/2 cup buttermilk 122.5g
    3/4 tsp vanilla 3.15g
    1/2 cup hot water 118.3g

    1 1/4 cups butter, room temp 283.75g
    12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips, melted 340.2g
    3 tbsps Cocoa Powder 16.2g
    5 cups powdered sugar 600g
    Pinch salt 0.2g
    4–5 tbsp heavy whipping cream 60g

CUPCAKES: Preheat oven to 300°F. Line tins. Separately, whisk dry ingredients together and wet ingredients together, then combine. Fill liners 1/2 full and bake 20min. FROSTING: Beat butter until creamy. Add melted chocolate, cocoa powder, and 2.5cups powdered sugar, beating each addition until incorporated and scraping sides. Beat in 2tbsp heavy cream and beat thoroughly. Beat in 2.5cups powdered sugar and salt. Add heavy cream to desired consistency.
