Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix flour, butter, eggs, maple syrup, salt, and baking powder. Batter will be thick. Peel, core and slide pineapple (or drain canned). Lay slices along bottom of baking dish, a cherry at each center. Spread batter on top. Bake 55min. Run knife along rim and flip onto serving plate.
